wahlee: (Dumbledore's man)
I picked up our tickets today!

There's a mostly pleasant surprise, as well. Turns out that all the IMAX shows now have assigned seating. Which means. . .

we don't have to stand in line forever!!

The tickets, as far as I can tell, are for pretty good seats-- not too close, but not too far away. Don't know for sure, though. I'll scope it out when we go for the midnight show. There is one small problem, however.

You see, when I bought the tickets, I didn't know that it was reserved seating. So I just bought them as they were requested, and they were assigned randomly. So. . . I have one large block of 12 tickets, another block of 5, and then-- one all by itself. It's on row G, the 5 are on row J, and the 12 are on row L. We might be able to negotiate for seat trading, I suppose, but there's every chance of one of our group getting stuck away from the rest of it. I'll take that ticket, I guess. I figure [livejournal.com profile] katinka31 can sit with [livejournal.com profile] kelleypen's family, and my family, [livejournal.com profile] susy_gwen, her roommate, [livejournal.com profile] celloannie, and my sister's best friend can take the large block. Does that sound okay?

In any event, I think we'll be safe if we meet outside the IMAX theatre at Jordan Commons at 6:00. It's at the farthest north of the building. I'll wait outside the auditorium with the tickets.

Because it's an IMAX screening, the tickets are a bit more-- $11.25 each, including the service charge. You can pay me there. I take checks.

I think we should plan on going somewhere afterwards for chit-chat, snark, and gushing. There's a Village Inn and an IHOP nearby.

Sound good?
