I got strep throat the day of the final in my class. Even with the extentions that my teacher gave me, I still wasn't able to finish the assignments that were due. I spent three days straight sitting in front of my computer, and I ended up being able to write all of two paragraphs.

So, I failed. I've never failed a class before. Never. I've never even gotten less than a C+ (and that was in junior high, in math and gym. In college the lowest grade I've gotten was a B-).

The department is helping me petition to have that class retroactively listed as an audit. I don't know if it will succeed or not.

I have to get my thesis written. I don't know if I'll be able to do it or not.

I'm not applying for PhD programs until I sort out what's wrong with me.

All in all, it was a sucky way to end 2006.

And 2007 hasn't started out all that much better.
