STRANGE AND BEAUTIFUL is available on iTunes; MEMORY MAN (alas) is not. I had to buy the album off eBay. There are a couple really good tunes on WORDS AND MUSIC ("7 Keys", "All or Nothing"), but on the whole I wasn't as fond of the acoustic format on that album.
I just love Matt Hales like pie right now. His lyrics are never predictable or pompous, he knows just how to vary a song to keep it from getting repetitive or beating a good riff into the ground (Coldplay needs to take notes from this guy), and he's delightfully geeky. "Black Hole" references Comet in Moominland, for heaven's sake; I knew when I heard that line that I was in love. :)
