Hey.

I've made almost all my own icons, and I like making them. I'd like to make even more, because I've got ideas of some lovely Doctor Who ones, and I'm (in general) not finding ones I like. So I want to make my own.

I've got Photoshop CS2. I can make my own screencaps from the DVDs. I've learned how to make brushes, how to play with light levels and colors and stuff like that. I can generally get my image to look the way I want it to.

But I hate the way my text looks. I play with the different text styles, I've downloaded pixel fonts, I've looked at [livejournal.com profile] icon_tutorial -- and I still can't do the cool things with text that other people can. It always comes out looking grainy or out of place or. . . yeah.

So. Any suggestions?
